TUGS Lounge
Sidney Smith Hall Room 608A

 

The TUGS lounge is a space where students should feel comfortable to study or work on group projects with their peers. It is intended for geography students but other students are allowed, provided they comply with the following rules:

 

  • The space is available during TUGS office hours, during which the door will be open for student use.

    • Food is allowed, but PLEASE CLEAN UP!

    • Please keep volume to a considerate level and respect others in the lounge.

    • Please respect the space and do not damage anything, failure to comply will result in consequences and/or ban from use of the lounge.

 

  • The room will NOT be available during the following times:

    • Wednesdays 3-5pm: The University of Toronto Outing Club (UTOC) holds their office hours, and we should respect their use of the space.  

    • TUGS bi-weekly meetings in the lounge

    • Fridays! (no TUGS office hours this day)

    • Anytime outside of TUGS office hours, unless indicated by a TUGS executive member.

 

  • This lounge is available to be booked (ex. to work on group projects):

    • Bookings will be made on a first come first serve basis - please email your name and student number to tugs.uoft@gmail.com

      • A calendar will be available for students to see available times

      • Each student can book a maximum of 3 hours per day, during which they are entitled to use of the space.

    • The student who booked the lounge shall be responsible for:

      • All activities and property in the room during the booked time.

      • Actions of other students in the room during the booked time (ex. group members)
